She is best known for incorporating luxurious lacquered finishes on aesthetic Art Deco furniture and moved towards the tubular steel frame furniture to International Style in the 1920s.

In the architectural field and is famous for creating the E-1027 with Jean Badovici, free interpretation of modernist architecture. Having been largely forgotten by the architectural body for many years, it has seen a resurgence in popularity at the end of his life.
