Verner Panton (13th February 1926 Gentofte - September 5th, 1998, Copenhagen) is a Danish designer, considered as one of the most influential of the twentieth century. During his career, he created objects in innovative and futuristic design. He had a predilection for everything possible to be seated, and commonly used plastic in bright colors and generous forms. His work has profoundly marked the 1960s.
In the late 1950s, chairs become less and less conventional, feet and folders disappear fade.
In the late 1960s, Verner Panton forsakes time creating objects to indulge in the design of home environments.
Today, his most famous designs are still in production and exposure to the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein in southern Germany.
