Pietro Chiesa (Milan, 1892 - Paris, 1948).
In the early 20s, he participated in the Biennale of Monza, at the Venice Biennale, at the Paris Exposition of Decorative Arts and exhibitions in Cologne and Barcelona.
In his work he combines outstanding technical skill extreme modernity.
In 1932 he was called by Gio Ponti to share with him the artistic direction of the fledgling company
"FontanaArte"; this feature will allow him to express his creativity and draw more than a thousand different objects (furniture, tables, lamps, glass, art, etc.).
Some of these items are entered into the history of design and are still in production, such as curved glass table Fontana (1932), the Cartoccio vase (1932) and the Luminator floor lamp (1933).
