Experimental furniture designer Aldo Tura started his furniture design and manufacturing in the 1930's. His work is signified by the combination of free, uninhibited forms, exeptional fancy and great ironi.
His work is also an example of highest craftsmanship, often produced in a restricted number, sometimes limited to a prototype. In the 50's, Tura discovered the suggestive charm of hand painted sitting rooms furniture with architectural views or Venetian landscapes.
He also reached particular aesthetic results thanks to deliberately enlarged odd forms such as a pipe or a bar cabinet seen as an enormous cup, covered with the most unthought of parchment.
His exceptional skill comes out in the exploation of a wide range of materials such as egg shell, wood veneering or goats skin
